Between January 2010 and November 2021, an electronic search was performed on Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, PubMed, CINHAL, Google Scholar, the web and health ministry websites to discover relevant published and grey literature.
Data analysis in 16 low- and middle-income EMR states, concerning randomized controlled trials, quasi-experimental studies, time series analysis, before-after and end-point comparisons with comparison groups, relies on quantitative reporting methods. We had anticipated a meta-analysis; however, the restricted data and diverse results forced us to conduct a descriptive analysis.
